In years past I have added the baby Jesus in the manger for the photo’s sake. To give closure to those following along. This year, I have decided to leave it as it is. This scene stays this way until tonight. Placing the baby Jesus in the manger is one of the last things done before bedtime tonight. Over the years, the children have taken turns placing the little baby in the manger, and then all the people and animals bow to greet him. For all the silliness throughout the wisemen’s journey, this moment always becomes a solemn one—my children’s reverence for what this moment represents never ceases to amaze me. Thank you all for joining with, and letting me share a special family, and cultural tradition with you all. Happy Christmas one and all, and may your coming year be full of joy and happiness because of Him.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
