When I was a child I had a book that I have loved from day one. I still have it. I have read and reread and reread and reread and reread and reread… I love this book. For reasons that I cannot adequately express, this book makes me happy. It brings me great joy. I think it may be due to its simplicity. Black and white illustrations with a highlight of one additional color. Short sentences. Simplistic elegance. Beautiful.
So, here are the scans of one of my favorite childhood treasures. I haven’t read it for many years. But, when scanning it for this post, I reread it. And still loved it.
